After Serving 9 years as a United States Marine, I left active duty to pursue a family and a change from the fast paced environment of the military. I have owned dogs for the last 33 years and became interested in the training and behavior of canines during my last tour. I have owned breeds of all types but currently own: a working German Shepherd K9, a working Belgian Malinois, a Doberman Pinscher, 2 American Pit Bull Terriers, an American Bulldog, a Border Collie and an Italian Greyhound.
During certification of my German Shepherd in Narcotics Detection, I became interested in all aspects of canine training. I attended Azzi International Service for Dogs master trainer course where I learned the art of training dogs.
I am currently working on certifying my Shepherd K9 for Patrol work and my Malinois for narcotic detection. I recently titled both dogs for a Schutzhund BH. I enjoy decoying dogs for protection and patrol and I believe that the decoy is in the best position to observe and improve K9 behavior during aggression work. In addition to private obedience clients, I have worked with Azzi International Service for Dogs assisting several Sheriff and Municipal Police department K9 units with: Patrol work, Narcotics Detection and Explosives Detection. I am looking forward to opening my boarding and training kennel in the next 6 months.
